The size of the discharge opening of the jaw crusher refers to the shortest distance between the tooth peak of one jaw plate and the tooth valley of the other jaw plate when the movable jaw plate is closest to the fixed jaw plate at the bottom of the jaw crusher. Generally speaking, the discharge opening of each type of jaw crusher can be adjusted within a certain range. The commonly used methods to adjust the discharge thickness are as follows:
1. Gasket adjustment
Open the adjusting seat with jacking bolts, check the quality of the rear thrust plate support and the rear wall of the frame, put in or remove a set of gaskets of equal thickness, increase or decrease the number of gasket layers to make the crusher discharge The feed opening decreases or increases. This kind of adjusting device has a simple and compact structure, and the weight of the whole machine does not increase much, so it is more commonly used.
2. Hydraulic adjustment
The rear thrust plate is used as the safety device of the crusher. Generally, the jaw crusher adopts a hydraulic safety device, which can automatically adjust the size of the discharge port, which is reliable and safe, and easy to remove faults.
3. Use inclined iron to assist adjustment
The transmission device can be used to raise and lower the rear inclined iron and move the front inclined iron horizontally. When the rear inclined iron is lifted or lowered, the size of the discharge opening can be adjusted accordingly. This kind of adjustment device can realize stepless adjustment. No need to stop.
4. Electronically controlled adjustment mechanism

5. Adjustment of supporting device
In the bearing part of the jaw crusher, a sliding bearing made of babbitt alloy is used, which can withstand larger impact loads and is relatively wear-resistant, but the conversion efficiency is low, and forced lubrication is required.

How to maintain the jaw crusher?
1. Regularly check the wear of parts and components, and timely maintain the loosening of bolts and connectors.
2. Regularly replace the lubricating oil and clean the lubricating filter to ensure the normal operation of the lubricating components. At the same time, check whether there are oil or water leakage in the two major systems of lubrication and water cooling. Once found, stop the machine for inspection and treatment in time, and wait until the problem is solved. restart.
3. To monitor the bearing temperature in real time, a thermometer can be installed to keep the temperature within 60°C.
What should be paid attention to when replacing jaw crusher wearing parts?
In the jaw crusher, the liner, thrust plate and eccentric shaft are the main accessories.
1. Replacement of liner
The fixed jaw lining plate (tooth plate), movable jaw lining plate (tooth plate), and both side lining plates (guard plate) of the jaw crusher are easy to wear. If the wear is serious, the mechanical particle size will increase. When the lining plate is initially worn, the U-turn the liner or use the upper and lower linings. The wear of the jaws is mostly concentrated in the middle bottom. When the tooth plate is worn away by 3/5, the liner that needs to be replaced, when the liner on both sides is worn down by 2/5 , Also need to be replaced.
2. Replacement of mandrel, eccentric shaft and bearing bush
If there is not much shaft wear, and you just want to repair the geometry, you can turn it on a lathe, but when the journal size is reduced by 5% from the initial through several turnings, turning is not allowed and should be replaced.
Because the jaw breaker works under impact load, the babbitt lining on the bearing bush needs to be cast again every two years.

3. Replacement of thrust plate
When the thrust plate is severely worn or the front thrust plate is broken, the rock in the crushing cavity must be cleaned first, the severely worn or broken thrust plate is taken out, the movable jaw and the toggle plate on the connecting rod are inspected, and then the movable jaw is pulled. When approaching the fixed jaw, lubricate the working surface of the toggle plate with dry oil, then replace it with a new thrust plate, make it slowly contact the working surface of the toggle plate, and tighten the lever to make the movable jaw clamp the thrust plate and tighten it.
