What is Sepiolite?


Sepiolite is a fibrous hydrous magnesium silicate, usually white, light gray, light yellow and other colors, opaque and dull.
Some sepiolites are shaped like clods, and some are shaped like a strange crust or tubercle.
Under the electron microscope, it can be seen that sepiolite is made up of numerous filaments arranged in sheets.

The hardness of sepiolite is 2-2.5.
When the sepiolite encounters water, it absorbs a lot of water and becomes soft, and once it dries, it becomes hard again.

How To Process Sepiolite Powder?


1. The large pieces of sepiolite ore are transported to the raw material warehouse by special vehicles, and then the materials are sent to the jaw crusher by forklifts/manually for crushing, and crushed to be smaller than the maximum feed size of the pulverizer

2. The sepiolite ore crushed by the crusher is lifted by the elevator to the storage hopper, and the storage hopper is discharged and then fed to the host by the feeder evenly

3. During the grinding process of the mill, the qualified products are screened by the screening system and then enter the collector through the pipeline. After collection, they are discharged through the discharge valve to be the finished product. The unqualified products fall into the main machine and re-grind.

4. The fine sepiolite powder ground by the grinding rollers of the pulverizer flows into the blower through the purified air flow through the residual air duct above the dust collector. The powder with qualified fineness passes through the grading rotor blade on the top of the powder mill and enters the pulse (cloth bag) dust collector through the air duct, and is packed in the next step.
